"As in 2003, the Graphic Studio (GAU) once again organises the Project Camping Ateliers. In 2003, the GAU, by request of the province of Utrecht, conceived this project and organized it for the first time. Objective of the project still is to introduce people to contemporary artists in a different manner. What does an artist do exactly? And why like that, and not differently? So what is art about this?
The execution has not changed either, except that five different artists, five different camping sites and five different folding cars have been involved.
After completion of the various working periods on the camping site, the folding cars art works first stay on the camping site to then be shown as a joint exhibition in the town of Utrecht during the
Utrecht Uitfeest."(Arjen Schat)
